We are very pleased to learn that you opted for our light alloy Ronal brand wheel. Wheels of Ronal and Speedline Corse are quality products that are made with the highest precision and pass through the most stringent quality controls, all to assure you a product of the highest quality.
For the most appropriate assembly and maintenance of your new companion, it is important to carefully go through the following information and to consider the following points:
Mounting instructions
1. Delivery
- Please check if the wheels were damaged during their transportation as a result of inadequate handling.
- Carriers have to be notified immediately of any transport damages.
2. Check before the first tire fitting
- Please check whether the shipment is complete and in full accordance with your order.
- Verify whether the application range is in compliance with the TÜV or ABE certificate.
- In case any additional wheel accessories should be delivered for the wheel mounting or alignment, check if these products comply with the TÜV or ABE standards and make sure the delivery is complete and correct.
- Missing or incorrect products should be communicated to us immediately.
- Please be aware that we cannot accept any return of wheels after a successful tire fitting.
3. Range of application
- Make sure that, based on the enclosed registration papers, the wheels to be mounted on your car are allowed and have the correct dimensions (according to the specific registration prescriptions for wheels as accessories, in Germany these are defined by TÜV or ABE).
Attention! Since cars are constantly refined and innovated, it is indispensable to mount the
wheels first without the tires to make sure enough space is available for the brake calliper, suspension, balancer etc.
4. Tire fitting
- Before mounting used wheels, they should be carefully cleaned and checked for damages and wear.
- Never lay wheels down on the styling side (it might cause damage).
- Please do not fit the tire manually but use an assembly tool that has a contact free rotating head. Make sure that the rim well is not damaged by the bead breaker. Beads should be treated with mounting paste. For security purposes, always make sure that your tires have the correct pressure (look at the tables provided by the tire manufacturers).
Attention! Wheels that have a negative rim well should always be mounted from the rear side of the wheel only (please consult the TÜV or ABE certificates and the instructions on the wheels).
5. Balancing
- The wheels should be balanced electronically while mounted on the car and/or balanced stationary. The description of the balancing is specified in the TÜV or ABE certificates. To avoid contact corrosion, stick-on weights should be used if possible. In case the balancing takes place with stick-on weights behind the spokes, make sure that there is sufficient clearance for the brake parts.
6. Mounting of the wheels
- The surface of the hub must be clean and free of burrs.
- Please use only the mounting parts that are provided with each wheel. For further details regarding the utilization of serial fittings, please consult the registration papers (TÜV/ABE).
- For the attachment of bolts and nuts, please consider the torque recommended by the manufacturer.
- After 100 – 200 km of driving, the bolts/nuts have to be newly tightened.
Care instructions
- A regular cleaning (in case of polished and three-piece wheels a weekly cleaning is recommended) will help to keep the wheels clean and will safeguard their enjoyment value in the future. To achieve full satisfaction, we recommend a weekly cleaning from road salt and brake dust. For the cleaning use warm water and a gentle, acid free, standard car shampoo. Wipe the wheels with a soft sponge. We strongly discourage the use of wheel cleaners with acidic substances and of car washes since they might make use of aggressive cleaning products.
- By no means, you should wash the wheels with a steam jet, as it might damage the transparent coating. Metal cleaners, steel wool or other materials that might scratch the surface should not be used either.
